STATE OF THE MISSION — comprehensive review, 2026-08-07

Mobilization Jane (Cowork), booted on the operator's "lots has been completed; review; take stock; where are we at? what has been missed? … clean up our administration." Method: full boot spine read (master plan · integration review · continuity ledger · runbook · fire list), then every open-item claim reconciled against SESSIONS, OPERATOR_LOG, NOW, the decision queue, and the filesystem. Supersedes the 2026-08-06 assessment as the dated picture; the runbook stays mission control. Registry facts cite their receipts.

§1. Where we are, in one paragraph

The building phase is effectively over. In ~72 hours the estate built and shipped the whole mission layer: the site runs one information architecture with eight doors and is live on both domains — /plan (the sealed scenario + ratified calendar) · the covenant (signable PDF) · /strategy · nine kits · /harvest (fully functional, custodian named a recorded standing decision) · /run (the candidate kit, 445 municipality pages) · 25 ward pages · the Issues Corpus wiki (12 pages) · 39 Free Toronto guides · Gov Atlas (~820 pages with generator-derived completeness) · seven-in-ten · SP/PC3/THESIS/contributor-ethics · the signature popup with welcome-back cookie. The elections machine now covers the province: the Ontario SOTE figures and platform baseline are receipt-first and their two renders are staged behind ONT-SOTE / ONT-BASELINE. Every sitting on the original seven-sitting docket has run. The bottleneck is now exactly three things: (a) your minutes-scale items (Polis clicks by Thu Aug 13 is the nearest hard date), (b) one batch of voice redlines, and (c) the send layer — zero operator-only sends have ever gone out, and the civic-hour/EXPERTS window is this month.

§2. The scoreboard against G1–G5 (honest, aggregate-only)

G1 (10,000 conversations): machinery complete (9 kits live + print PDFs, harvest intake live, counter wired but threshold unset and analytics token still dark) — zero conversations harvested; the count starts when sends start. G2 (One Big Conversation): Polis pilot booked Aug 15–23, OBC window ratified Oct 7–14, synthesis designed — synthesis owner still unnamed (your explicit "decide later"), which is the one unstaffed post on the October critical path. G3 (the plan): scenario SEALED, /plan live, adoption calendar ratified (publish Mon Oct 19 → record Sat Oct 24). G4 (candidates adopt): architecture ratified, counsel package assembled — your send, ~Aug 19–20, gates everything beyond record-publishing. G5 (1,000 orgs): ladder designed, covenant live, faith calendar built, tribe directory render built (B3) — no data home yet for even a single pin (the architecture memo's coalition-ladder tracker is the build), and no org has been asked.

§3. Everything that waits on you — the whole list, nothing else pending anywhere

Minutes (runbook §2): 1. sign your own petition (OP-02 — the rail is still unproven end-to-end). 2. analytics token (placeholder verified still in analytics.js today — the ★★★★ counter is dark). 3. Polis clicks + second-moderator ask, before Thu Aug 13 (setup walk). 4. Frankly application send. 5. civic-hour personal notes (~20 min; stops working in September). 6. Open211 email. 7. turnout-page currency check before Aug 12 (RegisterToVoteON closes). 8. the huylieu.ca call — new runbook §2.9, see §5 below.

Rulings: the voice-improvement batch (10 rows + 4 open questions; "all as drafted" is legal) · voice-walk rows 12–19 afterward · the tribe-directory publish word + IA placement + ~12 description judgment-calls (render footer) · commons additions (7 rows, one word each) · harvest synthesis owner (October needs a name by ~mid-September) · conversation-counter threshold (no rush) · per-candidate scorecard posture (baseline §7 four-option card, still unanswered).

Publish words: ONT-SOTE · ONT-BASELINE (menu) — the only menu rows not yet live.

Sends: [send scheduling withheld]

Parked cards (unchanged, yours whenever): DR3 review (OP-07) · PC3 walk (OP-08) · Homelessness BOOK read (OP-25) · QB v2 deeper redline anytime (the packet shipped approved-as-is).

Fireable pastes (open a chat, paste, go): [send scheduling withheld]

§4. In flight / gated without you

Kimi issues-corpus twin (waits on Kimi's return) → Founder adjudication unfreezes W2 · Kimi futures review HELD by your choice · registrar-final arc arms Aug 21: SOC registrar edition · full hunt Aug 21–22 · Ontario re-run (26 post-corpus sites + 30 dead-retries queued) · canon §3 re-stamp · biweekly cadence begins · Polis export lands ~Aug 24 (custodian named, so it may land in our stores; export/delete proof against your real key is a named Code follow-up) · the commit sweep lands everything every 15 minutes.

§5. What this review found missed (each now has exactly one home)

  1. The huylieu.ca safety flag was falling through the cracks. The Ontario hunt close named it in NOW (explicit threats of violence found on a candidate page; neutral note only, guardrail standing) — but it was never banked to OPERATOR_LOG and sat on no operator-facing list. Now runbook §2.9. It needs one word from you.
  2. The fire list had drifted badly — 7 of its rows (S8 deploy, IA content calls, S4, S3 residue, S6, atlas factory, Ontario) showed open work that had closed between 08-06 and 08-07. Trued in place with receipts; the runbook §1 carries a dated pointer.
  3. OP-22 (orphan walk) was a dead card — the site-IA pass executed the verdicts 2026-08-06; the decision queue card is now marked closed, and card 0's stale "first: the deploy sitting" line is corrected.
  4. The S2/S5 rulings existed only in OPERATOR_LOG (CURATOR 08-06 flag [5]) — NOW's Deliberation block still showed superseded pilot/OBC dates; a dated supersession note now sits at its head. The owed Founder synthesis is thereby reduced to optional.
  5. October's synthesis window is unstaffed — your deliberate "decide later" (S4) is honored, but the calendar tooth (synthesis Oct 15–18 → plan Oct 19) means the name is needed by ~mid-September to be real. Restated here so the deferral has a deadline attached.
  6. "Hold experts for next week" now means this coming week — the instruction decays into an action Mon Aug 10; bundled into §3's send sitting so it can't silently slide.
  7. Cross-track, named not touched: the estate working tree sits on branch `popup-build-2026-08-06` with `main` ~29 commits ahead of origin, unpushed (GIT_SNAPSHOT + Code sweep #2's own close) — a Code session should land/push · NOW.md (~840 lines) breaches the 200–250 contract; the twentieth archive pass stays NAMED for a quiet Planning window · small live defects already logged: `—` in the municipality index (generator), ~68 jargon instances in two guide classes (`task_c0108af4`), `run/team.html` our internal work-package record jargon, 4 mission-layer pages without og:image, the sitewide skip-link CSS gap.

§6. Not started (honest list, unchanged except where noted)

How-to-read-a-platform ★★ · what-a-mayor-can-do ★★ · missing-infrastructure ★ · the 18-AIs piece · reading-list public render paste (word not yet given) · OBC build-out mechanics (rides harvest+Polis learnings) · turnout-deserts ★ (post-Aug-21 by design) · election-night media sheet (Oct) · bus-factor doc, corrections SLA, biweekly subscribe path (L1's next sitting) · the G5 coalition-ladder tracker (build proposed in the architecture memo, operator-gated) · letters/ room + STATEMENTS v2 regen (both land automatically if you rule the voice batch yes).

§7. The calendar's teeth (next 30 days)

Aug 12 RegisterToVoteON closes · Thu Aug 13 Polis seed+rubric freeze (your clicks) · Sat Aug 15–Sun Aug 23 Polis pilot (fires regardless of turnout) · [send scheduling withheld] · Fri Aug 21 nominations close → registrar-final arc (§4) · ~Aug 24 Polis export · Sept 4–8 the school-year window the bundle was built for (assets COMPLETE since Aug 5; distribution = sends = yours) · then the ratified fall spine: ignition W5 → OBC Oct 7–14 → plan Oct 19 → record Oct 24 → Oct 26 mid-sprint scoreboard.

§8. What this sitting changed (admin record)

Trued: fire list (7 rows + §4 refresh, dated header note) · runbook (§1 dated line · new §2.9 huylieu item · S6 row → ruling surface · §3b Ontario/hunt/atlas rows) · master plan (L2/L5/L7 cells) · decision queue (card 0 trued, OP-22 closed) · NOW Deliberation block supersession note. Written: this file. Nothing was sent, deployed, or published; no CSVs touched; every publish click stays yours.

Close discipline: prose-with-pointers; registry facts live in their registries. This file decays by design — the runbook is the live surface.
