430 Toronto/GTA/Ontario public communities and organizations — neighbourhood groups, mutual aid, diaspora communities, hobby/sport clubs, and city/regional hubs — on Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Discord, and YouTube. Every entry is a name, a public URL, a self-declared scope/topic, and whether we could confirm it — nothing about who runs or belongs to any of them.

This directory exists so anyone — a resident, an organizer, a candidate, a journalist — can find the public communities and organizations already active where they live, without this project trying to speak for any of them or tell anyone how to approach them. It is a map of who already exists, not an invitation into anything that isn’t already the organization’s own public space.

Coverage, honestly

Census window: 2026-07-27 to 2026-07-28 · next scheduled refresh: 2026-10-27 (quarterly). Roughly two-thirds of rows are listing-only (found to exist, but not independently confirmed this review) and carry a ⚠️ “still being checked” mark rather than being silently presented as checked.

What’s deliberately left out

Free-text moderation notes, activity signals, and anything that could read as a “how to work this community” guide were excluded before any page was built — only name, public URL, self-declared scope/topic, and confirmation status are shown. A handful of description cells that carried researcher paraphrase rather than a clean self-written blurb (comparative claims, moderation-posture commentary, or anything that could identify an individual) are blanked on their face rather than trimmed or summarized down; every other field for that organization still renders.
