Shelter Movers — Greater Toronto Free, volunteer-run moving and storage for anyone fleeing abuse in the GTA: an Urgent Exit (pack and transport to a receiving shelter), an Escorted Move (with police, back to the household to collect belongings), and a Resettlement Move (shelter to a new home). FCJ Refugee Centre — Anti-Human Trafficking Programs No general crisis phone is published on FCJ's own site — for trafficking crisis support, use the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline above. FCJ's Migrant Workers Mobile Program can be reached by WhatsApp: 647-971-2153 (one specific stream, not a general hotline). Anishnawbe Health Toronto Emergency Counselling Services: Wednesdays and Fridays only, 10am–12pm and 1–3pm (in person or by phone) — this is not a standing anytime walk-in. Toronto Warming Centres & Winter Respite Sites Free, walk-in emergency warming space — the City's own page confirms you do not need to contact Central Intake to access a Warming Centre; walk-ins are welcome. Not open on a fixed calendar — the City activates Warming Centres whenever the forecast reaches -5°C or a winter weather warning is issued, opening at 5pm and staying open 24 hours until conditions ease; two additional Surge Sites activate at -15°C. Check toronto.ca — Warming Centres for current activation status before travelling — if you're reading this outside a cold snap, they are very likely not active right now, whatever the calendar month. Streets to Homes (S2H) — Street Outreach 24/7/365 outreach if you're sleeping outside or in an encampment: water, food, ID and income-support help, shelter referrals. The Scott Mission — Showers, Laundry & Washroom Access Free walk-in washroom, shower, and laundry access Mon–Fri 9:00–11:30am, at 502 Spadina Ave — a separate service from the Welcome Centre meals program above (same building). City Storage of Belongings for People Transitioning from Encampments When you move from an encampment into shelter or housing, City staff can photograph, bag and tag your belongings and store them free of charge — up to 30 days short-term, or up to 6 months if you're actively working on a housing plan with Streets to Homes or a partner agency. Covenant House Toronto 24/7 crisis shelter for youth with no safe place to stay. Drop-in centre: Mon–Sun 12:00pm–6:45pm (416-204-7037) — not 24/7 like the shelter. Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre (CONC) — Shelter & Drop-In Shelter residency is not walk-in — call 311 or Central Intake (416-338-4766 / 1-877-338-3398); this is CONC's own Contact page instruction. Separately, CONC's Drop-In & Food Access Program (850/854 Bloor St W) is walk-in: Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, Sat 8am–4pm, closed Sunday (lunch served Mon–Sat 12–1pm). Calling these three is the right first move, but none of them confirms guaranteed same-night entry at any hour of night — if you're turned away or can't reach anyone, use Central Intake above, which also routes refugee claimants.
