Every book here is a door — read it, and you can talk with everyone else who’s read it too; a shared shelf turns a phrase like “leverage point” or “third place” from one person’s jargon into the city’s working language. 102 titles, grouped by section, each one linked to whichever free or library door — Toronto Public Library, Libby/OverDrive, an Internet Archive lending copy, or a free legal edition — is actually available for it today.
